Terms of Service

These terms apply when you book a photography session, order prints, or purchase any other service from Dar Al Muteena Studio at Al Mateena Street, opposite Dirham Exchange, Al Muteena, Deira, Dubai. Booking a session or paying for a service confirms that you accept these terms.
1. Bookings & deposits
- Walk-ins are welcome for passport, visa and Emirates ID photos during opening hours.
- Portraits, family sittings, weddings and corporate assignments require a booking, confirmed by WhatsApp or phone.
- A non-refundable booking deposit may be required for wedding, corporate and multi-hour shoots. The exact amount is quoted before you confirm.
2. Cancellation & rescheduling
- Studio sittings can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours notice.
- Weddings and full-day corporate coverage can be rescheduled once, subject to date availability. Deposits paid remain valid for the new date.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a booked slot may forfeit the deposit.
3. Payment
All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED). We accept cash and major cards. The balance for any package is due on delivery of prints and files unless agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Delivery timelines
- Passport / visa / Emirates ID: printed while you wait, typically within minutes.
- Portrait & family sittings: edited previews within 3–5 working days; final prints on collection.
- Weddings & events: edited highlight set within 2 weeks; full gallery within 4–6 weeks.
- Corporate: quoted per project.
5. Reprints & embassy rejections
If an embassy or government office rejects a passport, visa or Emirates ID photo we produced, we reshoot and reprint at no additional cost. Please bring the rejection notice or a note of the required specification.
6. Image ownership & usage
- You receive a personal-use licence to print, share and reprint the photographs we deliver to you.
- Copyright of the photographs remains with Dar Al Muteena Studio unless we transfer it in writing.
- We may display selected work on our website, Instagram and Facebook only with your explicit consent. Passport, visa and Emirates ID photos are never shown publicly.
- Commercial resale or use of our images by third parties (agencies, publications, resellers) requires prior written permission.
7. Behaviour in the studio
We reserve the right to refuse or end a session if a customer behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive or discriminatory towards staff or other customers. Deposits are not refunded in such cases.
8. Liability
Our liability for any single booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed travel or missed applications, caused by external factors (courier delays, embassy rulings, force majeure).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable regulations of the Emirate of Dubai.
